  • Are there any restrictions for fuelgiveaway.com.au membership?

    You must be an Australian resident, and you must be at least 16 years of age to register as a fuelgiveaway.com.au member.

  • Can I hold more than one member account?

    We only allow one account for each member. Any member who is found to provide false information may have their privileges and entry points revoked as per our Terms and Conditions.

  • Do I need to pay for anything?

    There are no fees associated with being a member of our site.

    fuelgiveaway.com.au is funded by our advertisers, who pay us to send promotions and survey invitations to our members on their behalf.

  • What will you do with the information I provide you during the registration process?

    We only wish to send you information that will be pertinent to your lifestyle and preferences. The information that you provide us is one way of ensuring we can do this effectively. To improve the relevancy of information, you may wish to consider editing your profile regularly as you move in and out of purchasing considerations.

  • I received my confirmation email, but there was no link to click on. Why?

    Unfortunately, emails are treated differently by different mail clients. Some clients may strip links from emails. You may need to use a different email account or client. Some email clients/providers have an option to show content, which may re-enable the link.

  • The confirmation email link is not working.

    If the link in your confirmation email is not clickable, try right-clicking on the link and copying the link location. You can then paste the address into your browser address bar to confirm your email address.

  • I have lost my confirmation email. How do I have it re-sent?

    Log into your fuelgiveaway.com account, using the email address and password you entered during registration. You will be asked to either resend the confirmation email or change the email address to be confirmed. If the email address is correct, click the link to resend. If not, then correct the email address and click 'Update'. A confirmation email will be sent to the specified address.

  • I've registered with the wrong email address. What should I do?

    Log in to fuelgiveaway.com.au using the email address you registered with and then click ACCOUNT DETAILS. Once you have saved your new email address, you will be sent an email asking you to confirm the address.

    Once you have clicked the link in the confirmation email, your email address will be updated.

  • When I try to register, I get an error saying my address is not an available email. What does this mean?

    This error means someone has already signed up using your email address. If you have signed up already, but have forgotten your password, you can update it using the forgotten password facility.

  • The system isn't accepting one or more of my details when I try to register. What should I do?

    We validate your name, address, email address and phone numbers in order to ensure we can distribute your $500 petrol voucher correctly if you are a fuelgiveaway.com.au winner.

    Don't worry! Click here and we'll soon get you active again. Please be prepared to answer a few questions in order to verify your account details.

  • Can I change my password?

    Yes, you can change your password from the members section of the website. Simply login with your existing email address and password, and click 'PASSWORD' in the members menu.

  • My details have changed. How do I update them?

    Your details can be amended at any time through the relevant item on the members menu. You will need to login to fuelgiveaway.com.au using your registered email address and password.

  • How do I unsubscribe from fuelgiveaway.com.au?

    You can unsubscribe as a fuelgiveaway.com.au member from the members section of the website or by following the link at the bottom of any promotional email we send you. Please note that you will lose all your entry points when you unsubscribe and you will not be eligible for the current or future prize draws.

    Once you unsubscribe, it may take up to 72 hours for your request to be processed. After this you will stop receiving promotional emails and surveys from us.

    If you unsubscribed by accident, or change your mind, you can reactivate your account for up to 14 days after you have unsubscribed by logging in to fuelgiveaway.com.au, and your entry point balance will be restored.

  • When I sign into my account, it says I have unsubscribed, but I cannot remember doing so.

    You may be unsubscribed from fuelgiveaway.com.au if emails we have sent your email address have bounced.

    Please contact support@fuelgiveaway.com.au and we will resend a confirmation email which will enable you to reactivate your unsubscribed account. Please do not register a new account if this has occurred, unless directed to by fuelgiveaway.com.au support.

  • If I unsubscribe from fuelgiveaway.com.au, will I lose my entry points?

    Yes, and we'd be sorry to see you leave :(

    You will lose any entry points you have in your fuelgiveaway.com.au account, including any you have converted from other sites.

    If you change your mind, you can reactivate your account for up to 14 days after you unsubscribe. To do this, simply log in to fuelgiveaway.com.au, and your points will be restored.

  • What are fuelgiveaway.com.au points?

    Each fuelgiveaway.com.au point (or entry point) gives you one chance to win a $500 petrol voucher in the next fuelgiveaway.com.au draw.

    fuelgiveaway.com.au points can be gained by responding to email promotions and online survey invitations. Also, look out for banners on the site that you can click to earn more points. When you join fuelgiveaway.com.au, we give you 20 points just for joining, and you can gain another 50 points by completing the lifestyle survey.

    You can also earn extra points at any time by referring your friends to fuelgiveaway.com.au

  • How can I earn more entry points into the fuelgiveaway.com.au draw?

    The most common way to earn fuelgiveaway.com.au entry points is by responding to email promotions, and participating in surveys that you have been invited to take part in.

    It pays to be open minded about which products or services you are interested in to improve your chances of receiving emails more frequently.

    In the case of invitation only surveys, researchers often have sizeable but limited response quotas and time frames to report within. As a rule of thumb, if you respond as soon as you receive a survey invitation, you'll have a stronger chance to reap the maximum amount of entry points allocated for completing a survey.

  • Can I save my entries up and use them in a later draw?

    No. All points accumulated give you a chance to win in the current draw. As each draw lasts for 3 months, this means any entry points accumulated over this 3 month period will automatically go into that draw.

    At the end of each draw period, 10% of your final entry point balance will be rolled over as entry points for the following draw, so the longer you remain a fuelgiveaway.com.au member, the greater your chances of winning.

  • I want to convert points from the other sites I am a member of. Why does the value of the points differ between websites?

    Each website has a different points system, depending on how much a point is valued at in terms of the site's redemption mechanics.

    For this reason, a survey completed on SMSPup may be worth 5 points, whereas that same survey may be worth 100 points to WhatDoYouThink members. Therefore when converting points to fuelgiveaway.com.au, the conversion scale will vary from site to site.

  • Can I convert points from my fuelgiveaway.com.au account to the other sites?

    No, points can only be converted to the fuelgiveaway.com.au, and not vice versa. This means any entry points you accumulate in the fuelgiveaway.com.au must remain in your fuelgiveaway.com.au account, and cannot be redeemed on the other sites.

  • Why do I have entry points in my fuelgiveaway.com.au account at the start of the draw, when I haven't earned any yet?

    At the end of each draw period, 10% of your final entry point balance will be rolled over to increase your chances of winning the following draw.

  • How do I redeem my fuelgiveaway.com.au points?

    Your points will automatically be entered in the next fuelgiveaway.com.au draw. Each fuelgiveaway.com.au entry point gives you one chance to win a $500 fuel voucher. The more you collect, the better your chances of winning the draw. Please be aware there is no cash conversion for your points.

  • Why have points gone missing from my account?

    Each time we give away twenty $500 petrol vouchers, all your points go in to the draw to win. Each point you have at the time of the draw gives you one chance to win.

    At the end of the each draw, 10% of your final entry point balance will be rolled over to form your starting balance for the next draw.

  • How do I convert points from my SMSPup, WDYT, or SinglesWhoClick account?

    Members of SMSPup, WDYT and SinglesWhoClick can convert their points from these sites into the fuelgiveaway.com.au entry points to increase their chances of winning. To transfer points from these sites to fuelgiveaway.com.au, login and click CONVERT POINTS in the member menu. You will need to enter your login details for each other site you wish to convert points from.

    Please note that once points have been converted to fuelgiveaway.com.au, they cannot be converted back.

  • Can I convert points from my BigGiveAway account?

    No. You can only convert points from WhatDoYouThink, SinglesWhoClick & SMSPup accounts. Any points you accumulate in your BigGiveAway and fuelgiveaway.com.au accounts will remain there.

  • I have referred a friend. Why have I not received any points?

    Points are only awarded for friend referrals when your friends successfully sign up to fuelgiveaway.com.au. You can refer as many friends as you like, and you will receive 20 points for each one that joins.

Promotions and Email

  • What kind of promotions can I expect to receive?

    We try to send you promotions and email surveys related to the interests you have specified, so it's a good idea to keep these up to date.

    You are likely to receive information on new and current products and services, new releases, special offers and upcoming events. You may also receive invitations to enter competitions or to complete online surveys.

  • How often should I expect emails from fuelgiveaway.com.au?

    We believe you should only receive promotional emails and survey invitations that will be of relevance to you. Your email frequency will therefore depend on many factors including, but not limited to your specified interest profile, your location and the sponsorship partners who are looking to promote to you.

    We promise, however, that we will send no more than one (1) survey invitation and one (1) email promotion to your nominated email address per day. In most cases, you will only receive about 2-4 emails a week excluding member administration enquiries. Please also be aware that these figures are per account, so if you have accounts with any of our other sites such as What Do You Think? or SMSPup, the number of promotional emails you receive will reflect this.

  • How can I identify a fuelgiveaway.com.au promotional email or survey invitation?

    All emails from the fuelgiveaway.com.au come from promotions@fuelgiveaway.com.au and will always have fuelgiveaway.com.au in the sender's name.

    The emails will be distinctively branded, often addressing you by your name. If your email program supports HTML, your current points balance will be displayed in the top left corner of the email. To ensure you always get your emails from fuelgiveaway.com.au you should add our email address to your address book.

  • Do I have to receive surveys/email promotions from the fuelgiveaway.com.au?

    Yes, however you can choose to opt-out of the system at any time. If you choose to opt-out, within 72 hours we will stop sending promotional emails and surveys to your registered email address.

    As an alternative, you may wish to amend or limit your interest categories from your member profile if you feel that you are receiving too many emails.

  • I don't seem to be receiving many surveys or email promotions. How can I improve my chances?

    Please be sure to answer as many questions as possible throughout our registration process and lifestyle survey. The more information we know about you the greater the chances we have to send you information that will be relevant to you.

    You might also like to consider broadening your considerations for email offers you would like to receive. Your family or friends might appreciate some of the offers that are sent to you.

  • Will I be penalised for not responding to an email promotion or survey invitation?

    You will not be penalised if you are unable to respond to the emails sent from the fuelgiveaway.com.au, however remember that your chances of winning increase with your participation.

    Please be wary of closing dates advertised on some of our email communications. If you choose to respond after the date indicated, then you may not be eligible to collect the reward entry points related to a particular email.

  • I responded to a survey invitation, but the survey was full. Why?

    Survey invitations are very popular amongst our members. Some surveys will have set quotas for responses and in most cases, they will also specify a closing date for responses.

    From time to time, we may have survey response quotas filled well before the closing date. The people who respond quickest have the best chance to accumulate the maximum amount of reward entry points allocated to that survey, so it pays to read your fuelgiveaway.com.au emails regularly.

  • I clicked on a promotional email, but I did not receive any points. Why?

    For most email promotions you will be awarded points simply for clicking the button at the bottom of the email.

    Occasionally, you will be required to complete or participate in a survey, complete a registration with the advertisers, or enter a competition before your points will be awarded.

    The email will make this clear. If you find the entry points are not awarded immediately, there is usually a statement in the email saying that they will be awarded within 10 working days. This is because we have to wait for the promotion to run and then have the advertiser report to us on who we need to award entry points to.

  • What happens to the information that I provide in online surveys?

    We may conduct surveys from time to time for our purposes or on behalf of a third party. Where we conduct the surveys for our own purposes, we may use the results for our own research, or in an effort to increase the relevance of advertising material that we send you. Where a survey is being conducted for a third party, we will only provide the results in a non-identifying, aggregate form to that third party. Prize Draw

  • Where can I redeem my $500 petrol voucher if I win?

    If you are a fuelgiveaway.com.au winner, you will receive a $500 Caltex StarCard, redeemable at any Caltex outlet.

  • How frequent is the fuelgiveaway.com.au prize draw?

    We give away twenty $500 petrol vouchers approximately every three months. See the Terms and Conditions for upcoming draw dates.

  • I won the draw! When will my fuel voucher be sent?

    The fuel voucher will be sent within 28 days of the conclusion of the draw. If you have any questions about the status of the voucher, please contact support@fuelgiveaway.com.au.

  • How long will I have to use my $500 worth of fuel if I win?

    Your fuel voucher, a Caltex StarCard, will be valid for 12 months for the date of issue.

Technical

  • Do I need any special software to participate in surveys or email promotions?

    For the majority of cases, all you will need is an internet connection, a working email address and a reliable web browser to read our surveys and email promotions.

    From time to time, you may also receive special surveys or promotions such as movie trailers or a sneak peak of a TV or radio commercial, so a working sound card and appropriate software may be required. This might include web browser plug-ins and/or software for rich media, video, audio, flash animation and portable document files (PDFs).

    Programs such as Macromedia Flash Player, Apple Quicktime, Windows Media Player, Real Player, and Acrobat Reader are readily available for free online.

  • The links in the emails you send do not work. What should I do?

    This may be caused by your browser or security software on your system which is blocking the link from being accessed from the email by clicking on it normally. Please right click on the link (or hold down Ctrl and click on the link for Mac users), copy the link location/shortcut and paste it into your web browser's address bar to visit the link.

  • I have forgotten my password and I have a new email address, what should I do?

    If you want to keep your current fuelgiveaway.com.au account but wish to change your email address, please send an email to support@fuelgiveaway.com.au with the following details:

    • Date of birth
    • Postcode
    • Old Email address
    • New Email address

    Upon receiving this email we will update your profile. All future correspondence will be directed to the new email address.

    You can then reset your password using the forgotten password feature.

  • My browser is not accepting cookies. What should I do?

    First, check that you have cookies enabled in your browser. If you are still having problems, delete your temporary Internet files, clear your browser cache and restart your browser. If the problem persists, please contact support@fuelgiveaway.com.au.

Premium Membership

  • What is a Premium Membership and how does it differ from a Regular Membership?

    Premium Membership means you have agreed to receive more than one email promotion or survey per day and differs from a Regular Membership where you receive a maximum of one email promotion or survey per day.  With both Premium and Regular Membership there is no obligation to respond to all emails but it's important to remember that the more you respond the faster you earn points.

  • Are there any restrictions for Premium Membership?

    No. Premium Membership is available to any of our members (and is 100% free). To be eligible for membership, all you need to do is comply with our Terms & Conditions.

    You can choose Premium Membership when you sign up, or switch at any time by logging into your account details.

  • What are the benefits of Premium Membership?

    Premium Membership is designed to reward you faster by giving you more opportunities to receive email promotions and surveys and earn points more quickly to increase your chances of winning in a Fuel Giveaway draw.

  • If I change my membership from Regular to Premium, will I lose my points?

    No. Any transfer of membership will involve your current points balance being carried across.

  • Will the promotional emails I receive with a Premium Membership look the same as the ones you send to people on a Regular Membership?

    Yes. As with a Regular Membership, all promotional emails and surveys sent from us will be immediately identifiable. They will always have the word Fuel Giveaway in the senders name and be distinctively branded, often addressing you by your name. If your email supports HTML, your screen name and current points balance should be displayed in the top right hand corner of the email.

    To ensure you always get your emails from us, you should add our email address to your address book. 

  • I have switched over to a Premium Membership but I don't seem to be getting many more surveys/email promotions. How can I improve my chances?

    Please be sure to answer as many questions as possible throughout our registration process and lifestyle survey. The more information we know about you the greater the chances we have of sending you information that will be relevant to you.

    You might also like to consider broadening your considerations for email offers you would like to receive. Your family or friends might appreciate some of the offers that are sent to you.

  • How many promotional communications will I receive per day on a Premium Membership?

    You may receive anywhere up to 5 promotional communications from us per day on a Premium Membership.

  • Is 1 point on a Premium Membership the same as 1 point on a Regular Membership?

    Yes. All points earned on a Premium Membership will be equal in value to points earned on a Regular Membership. However you will have greater opportunity to earn points on a Premium Membership.

  • Can I change my account back to a Regular Membership if I change my mind?

    Yes, you can change your account from Premium to Regular and vice versa at any time. To do this, all you need to log into Fuel Giveaway and go into your account details.
